Seto Latsi Kuul Talinah (Seto Children’s School in Tallinn) was established on January 10th, 2012. The founders of the school wanted to provide an opportunity to get together for the families with Seto roots in Tallinn in order to introduce Seto culture and traditions to their children. The school operates in Tallinn city. The most popular joint events are the traditional egg rolling in the spring, and visits to Setomaa. It is gratifying to know that the families with Seto children in Tallinn have got to know Seto culture at the joint gatherings of the Seto Children’s School for many years already.

Performing is not a main goal for us. We value most the opportunity to teach Seto culture to Seto children in Tallinn, although we do participate in the Seto Leelo Festival, the Seto Kingdom and the Seto Dance Parties. We have also performed at Baltica and at the International Youth Folklore Day in Luunja. The Seto Children’s School has led the publishing of the Seto language version of the famous children’s magazine Täheke for many years.
